How Can You Tell What's a Home Business Scam?

By: Sherry Frewerd

We've all seen them; many of us have responded to a few. Those highly tempting propositions from work at home business commercials or ads that want us to believe that with just a little effort and small investment we can be pulling in the big bucks and living the sweet life on a beach. How can we tell what's legit and what's more often that not a scam? If not a scam, then very likely exaggerated in the area of 'getting rich.'

With the positive turnover of profits from home businesses, many people have made the choice to work from home. Surveys show that nearly 15.7 million businesses have been established as home based organizations in the United States alone. However, not all businesses are created equal. Some of these were created through unscrupulous means. Some of the all-time classic home business or work at home scams that everyone has surely stumbled upon by now are the 'envelope stuffing', 'Call 1-900', and the ever popular scam of email spamming for others where a person will supposedly get paid to send emails; becoming a spammer as a result.

There are, of course, legitimate home business owners making nice livings. So, how did those folks figure out the real thing from the fraud? Some now fortunate home business people may not have been so lucky at the beginning, but have finally found their niche. These people are usually very willing to share with newbies their less than positive experiences; network with home business people on forums or message boards and learn from their mistakes if possible. There are a few simple tips and suggestions for avoiding being ripped off or scammed by a bad home business opportunity. For those of us who are genuinely looking for a real home business opportunity, how can we weed through the junk and get to an actual honest companies?

Here are some simple tips on how you can avoid home business scams:

1. If it seems too good to be true, chances are, it probably is. If a home business idea or work-at-home-job offers you huge amounts of money for doing next to nothing, chances are, what you’ll actually get in return is next to nothing or nothing at all. People have lost quite a bit of money in home business scams, so do your research before paying anything.

2. Never pay a company for the chance to work. Remember, you’re looking for a job home-based business because you want to be paid, not the other way around. Now, keep in mind however, that network marketing and direct sales companies usually require a consultant fee of some kind, which is completely legal. You are not an employee, but a business builder and an independent contractor for the company, so requiring a start-up fee is not a sign that an opportunity is a scam.

3. If the information about a company arrives in your email or mail box from someone you've never heard of before, chances are it's something you should steer clear of. Honestly, would you go into business with a total stranger off the street just because she drove a fancy car? Don't answer that. Fancy bells and whistles in the form of an email does not make the opportunity legit. If it’s spam, it’s most likely a scam. There’s only one thing to do with spam, and that’s hit delete.

A home based business can be a very lucrative and fulfilling venture, and just what you need to help supplement your current income or replace one, but make sure that you’re getting involved with one that’s legitimate and with actual worth.

6 Detailed Steps to Guaranteed Online Income Revealed

By Jimmy Wilson

In order to profit from the internet, it's really quite simple once you've mastered a few learned steps. Granted this is the desire of millions of entrepreneurs, but they often fail due to not having a successful outline or proven path to follow.

Basically, you need only follow 6 detailed steps in order to assure yourself the success you hope to attain.

1. First you need to establish your product or service. This can be anything from a new product idea, selling information, to reselling an existing product with the rights to do so.

2. You need to have a viable means of processing your payments from your customers that are acceptable on their terms. There are numerous online methods of receiving payments but what about the doubting Thomas that doesn't trust the internet to process a payment?

3. Having the right presentation of your product is key in attracting the customers you hope to attract. You need to know what causes consumers to react to favorable advertising. It's not the amount of advertising that often causes successful sales as much as it is the right type of advertising.

4. Knowing what to price your products is as important as knowing your profit margins. If you charge too little, you may create doubt in the consumers thinking, there must be something wrong here, or if you over-price your product, you may generate sales, but volume is where you reach a successful level of business.

5. Making your business self-operating is paramount to successful online sales. If you have to monitor your computer like you would a typical brick and mortar store, you've defeated the whole purpose of having an online business. You want to allow the online business to be your source of additional income not an additional job.

6. Lastly, you want to track your sales verses your hits or visits. If you can measure how often you make a sale per the number of visitors to your online business, you can determine how successful your advertising is working for you. That's where you spend the vast percentage of your time, improving your advertising.

Obviously this is your basic outline but it's important to take the time and map out your business strategies using this outline as a basis for success. To learn more on guaranteed success visit my latest offering here:

Easy Home Based Business

By Charles Fuchs

Is there an easy home based business out there? The answer depends on how much you are committed to actually starting and running a business in something that you like to do. By taking a quick assessment of your commitment, skills, and desires you can determine if starting your own home based business will be a fun adventure or just another burden.

Starting and running a business takes work. Sometimes that work is hard, and at other times it is easy. Yet even the hardest work can bring you pleasure if you are doing something you love. Therefore if you want to start an easy home based business you have to begin by finding out what you love to do. Take a quick assessment of the things you can lose yourself in regularly. It can be anything. There is a business waiting in any area you can think of, so why not start one in an area you like?

Once you know where your passions are, then you can take an assessment of your skills. In order to start an easy home based business, you have to play up the things you are good at. The challenges will come from doing the things you are just learning or have not learned yet. Still, when you are doing something you love, the desire to learn new things is strong. For instance, you may love golf and have excellent customer service skills, but you may not be very good at accounting. Yet knowing that you are starting a new business doing something you love (golf), you will find yourself learning accounting with a desire to learn.

Once you know your skills, you can then start looking at the type of business you want to run. This is where your skill list comes in handy. In order to start an easy home based business, you want to start a business in which requires a majority of skills you already have. Using the golf example, if you have good computer and customer service skills, you may consider starting a website that sells hard-to-find golf supplies. Or you could create an informative website and make your money using affiliate programs. However, if your skills are in selling, then you may want to consider a network marketing program.

The options for starting an easy home based business are endless, because your business will be based upon what you love and what you know how to do. What you do not know you can learn. If you feel like you have to build up some skills, then you may want to consider going with a pre-made business that comes with a lot of training materials. Network marketing and franchise opportunities are known for providing you with a lot of information to make the building process easier.

Best Work from Home Job: A Golden Opportunity

By Jake Dufield

There is no denying that millions of people take advantage of the World Wide Web to create home-based careers that are hugely successful. While there are many types of booming businesses to be found online, there is one that stands out above the rest in growth potential: affiliate marketing. The opportunities associated with affiliate marketing are so amazing that this home-based business has been acclaimed as being the best work from home job.

But why Affiliate Marketing?

One of the reasons that affiliate marketing receives so much applause is that it is easy to start up and doesn't require a lot of start up capital. It does, however, require a great deal of imagination and effort on the part of the owner to ensure that the business is successful. This means that a bright and highly motivated person can make as much money as they are worth without having to invest big bucks.

This is how it works

One of the most popular ways to make money as an affiliate marketer is to direct traffic to clients' websites and products by providing a link to their site on your very own websites. As an affiliate marketer you would build comprehensive websites that rank well in the top search engines and provide quality content to attract and keep visitors. On these sites your clients' links would appear and you would earn money for each click or referral that they received from your site.

Total independence

Aside from making you an astonishing amount of money, the best part about this job is that you can do it entirely out of the comfort of your own home and set your own hours. All of this and more is what makes affiliate marketing the best work from home job for many self starting and motivated people.

Starting Your Own Home Business

By Terri Seymour

Ok, so you have researched the facts, weighed the pros and cons and have finally decided that a home business is right for you. But now you need to figure out what type of business you want and how to proceed with marketing this business.

There are many types of home businesses but not all of them are right for all people. You need to ask yourself these questions: Do I want to start my own business from scratch? Do I just want to join an MLM and sell for someone else? Do I want to sell physical products or digital products? Do I want to do all the work online or offline too? Do I want help with my business or do I want to go solo? Do I just want to become an affiliate and sell other people's online products?

MLM/Direct Sales - The company you sell for is in control of how you run your business. You are paid a commission for sales and usually have to recruit a downline.

Distributorship - You are in control of your own business. You keep all profits and do not need to recruit a downline.

Digital Products - Selling digital products such as ebooks is done online and there is no need for an inventory, shipping or worrying about damaged goods.

Affiliate Programs - many people make a good online income just by selling other people's products.

Service Provider - This would include such things as virtual assistant, party planner, pet sitter, etc.

These types of businesses can be combined to form one very successful business. Such as applying for a distributorship and then also offering ebooks on your online store site.

Once you have chosen your business and gotten all your permits, tax numbers, etc, you will need to start marketing your new business. There are countless ways to do this online and offline.

Offline Marketing

Offline marketing would include: business cards, flyers, attending your community events and networking, attending expos, craft fairs, trade shows, postcards, phone calls, newsletter advertising, door hangers, radio, fundraisers, school functions, catalog distribution, mailing lists, home parties, car magnets, brochures, seminars, yellow pages and more. Use your creativity to come up with your own unique marketing ideas.

Online Marketing

Marketing strategies online include: link exchanges, search engines, autoresponders, online auctions, email press release, online chats/seminars, ebooks, blogging, tutorials, ad swapping, ezine publishing, article marketing and much more!

To market your home business takes a lot of work, consistency, time and commitment. Handing out a couple business cards and throwing up a website will not suffice. Work as many as these marketing ideas as you can. Find out which ones really work for you and then expand on them. Then try more!

I want to make sure you understand that you cannot treat your business as a hobby. If you want a successful business with a full time income, you have to work your business full time. If you find one of these programs that claim you can make thousands a week for 5 minutes of work, (that actually work) please let me know. In the meantime, start using some of these ideas and get your business name out there!

Earn Extra Spending Money for Christmas by Mystery Shopping

By Karen Fritscher-Porter

Earn extra spending money for Christmas. Don't wait until mid-December. That's too late. You must start now. If you are going to need a little extra spending money in December, whether to spend on yourself at some of the great holiday sales or to put a little something extra under the family Christmas tree, try mystery shopping.

There are hundreds of companies that hire mystery shoppers as independent contractors to shop and eat on their dollars, not yours. And they sometimes pay additional flat fees (also known as paying you cash in the form of a check or direct deposit to your bank or through PayPal---that's how you'll earn extra spending money.). Though there are plenty of scammers out there who try to blend in with the mystery shopping industry (and by doing so sometimes give the mystery shopping industry a false bad rap), mystery shopping and mystery shopping companies are 100% legitimate, honest and for real. And many are not even new. They've been around for years.

Mystery shopping is a marketing service provided to retail stores, restaurants, banks, apartment leasing offices and everyone else who sells a product or service to the consumer. The intent is to have shoppers pose undercover (hence the mystery) to experience and report back to owners and managers (through the mystery shopping companies) objective facts about the service they received or product they purchased.

Owners and mangers of stores, restaurants and other companies hire mystery shopping companies to shop them. The mystery shopping companies then outsource the individual assignments to mystery shoppers. You can be the mystery shopper. That's how you'll earn extra spending money---through flat fees plus you'll get reimbursed for restaurant meals and retail products.

Warning: A mystery shopping company may ask you to purchase a restaurant meal or make a (usually small dollar value) purchase at a store (which you'll either return to the store or get reimbursed for by the mystery shopping company); BUT they will NEVER ask you to cash some huge check for them (they're not crazy enough to give big amounts of money to strangers---which is what you are to them). And they will NEVER ask you to use significant amounts of your own money to make a purchase. Never! If your mystery shopping assignments seem too good to be true then they aren't from true mystery shopping companies so steer clear. You do have to work a little to get and accomplish true mystery shopping assignments (but geez, you get to shop or eat out in the process for free or paid to do so) and earn that extra spending money.

You can find mystery shopping companies and apply for their assignments in at least two ways:

1) Browse the Web looking for them and register at each site you find; or 2) Buy a list or join a membership site that offers you database access to a list of mystery shopping companies they compiled (by doing similar research).

Don't let anyone tell you that the latter is not legitimate (because there are many people spouting this all over the Web and they are simply wrong or misinformed). Buying a list of mystery shopping companies or subscribing to a database of these companies is no different than if you ordered a print directory or pamphlet through the mail from someone who had compiled this information. It's a similar concept to your local telephone book yellow pages. That's a directory too. The only difference is your local telephone directory charges the advertisers for the listings and gives you the book free. In this case, the mystery shopping database companies don't charge for the listings but charge you instead for the list they researched and compiled.

The whole point of buying a ready-made list of mystery shopping companies or accessing a membership database is to save you time of doing the same thing. Some of the better mystery shopping directory sites also offer you tips or advice about how to find more mystery shopping jobs. They don't promise you or get you mystery shopping jobs. Some also will give you tips on how to get called back by mystery shopping companies or how to complete your mystery shopping reports. If you're new to mystery shopping that is good information to know---because lousy mystery shoppers will get "blacklisted" by the mystery shopping companies and agents. So learn to do mystery shopping right the first time. That's what you're paying (usually a quite modest) fee for to these mystery shopping database and or informational membership websites. You are not paying for actual mystery shopping jobs or assignments.

And if you do mystery shopping right and you don't earn extra spending money, or at least not enough by Christmas, there is always January. That's when you'll need extra spending money to pay off all the holiday bills you incurred.

Go to http://www.Christmas-Cash.com to read more about mystery shopping and how to earn extra spending money. Website publisher Karen Fritscher-Porter is an experienced mystery shopper of several years who knows firsthand that anyone can earn extra spending money through mystery shopping.

Internet Businesses From Home - Who Succeeds?

By Pam Jenkins

If you believe everything written about how easy and inexpensive it is for folks to start internet businesses from home, this may seem like a silly question. Truthfully, an internet based home business is simple and can be launched with a shoestring budget. Unfortunately, being profitable is another story.

The statistics tell the story. Ninety eight percent of small business websites set up in the hope of gaining financial independence will fail. Many people will waste thousands of dollars trying to grab this brass ring. Here are some things to consider before deciding you can be successful with a home internet business.

Are you determined, organized and totally focused on success? Establishing successful internet businesses from home requires some hard work and long hours. Only those committed to attaining their financial goals will reach them. You must have a clear plan and stick to it, or you will find yourself wasting time, which is your most valuable asset. Of course you must allow for some flexibility, but know the difference between tweaking a strategy and going off on a completely different tangent.

Are you a patient person? There is no such thing as overnight success. Building successful internet businesses from home takes time. If you are able to celebrate your small accomplishments and see that you are making progress, you will have no trouble reaching your goals.

Can you handle failure? You will make mistakes! Disasters happen. If you can step back and calmly look at what you can do to prevent such things in the future, you're already a success story. So few people are able to look past the disappointment and learn from their mistakes.

Are you a skeptic? There are plenty of scams on the internet. Investigate every business model thoroughly before investing your time or money. Visit related forums and ask if anyone has tried it. Search for product reviews. Contact the vendor with any questions you have. Learn to distinguish between good copywriting and a ton of hype!

Are you a person of action? To succeed, you must do something! Publish your website. Write a newsletter. Send an email. You will be amazed by the number of people who invest in internet businesses from home. They purchase information on how to succeed, yet never take the necessary steps to move toward success. Take action, even if you are afraid of failing. Learn by doing. Believe me, it works.

If you cultivate the qualities listed above, success with internet businesses from home is very attainable. Enormous profits and the lifestyle of your dreams can be yours.

How to Work at Home and Make Money Online

By Joshua Spaulding

Thousands of people make money online everyday working at home. The best part of a home business is that you are not limited to one or two options. There are literally hundreds of different opportunities out there for you to take hold of and start profiting off of. Possibly the first thing that comes to mind when you think of people of make money online is becoming a webmaster and running your own website. Many webmasters do work at home running their website as their primary income. This is one option that can prove to be extremely profitable in the long run. It is important to know that there are many other options and I will get into some them later on in this article. Learning how to make a website is not as hard as many people think. There is a lot of information out there that will help you to create a website to make money online. Some websites also offer free home business training through online newsletters.

Another option is to promote affiliates. You can literally make thousands of dollars just by promoting someone else’s product. Most companies have what is called an affiliate program or partner program. When you join this affiliate program the company pays you a ser amount for every referral or sale. Many will pay you anywhere from 5 percent to 50 percent of the sale. So how do you promote these affiliates if you do not have a website? There are several pay per click advertising programs that can prove to be extremely profitable to affiliate marketers. One very lard pay per click program is Google Adwords. You create an account, make your ad and set the amount you are willing to pay every time someone clicks on your add. When you start to understand the process very good, you will notice the enormous income opportunity.

One more proven way to make money online is by betting on sports. This type of betting is not your normal gambling though. The betting I am talking about is called sports arbitrage. The way this works is by use of a program that figures out exactly what games will make you money. This works on a complicated math figure. You actually cannot lose with sport arbitrage. It is a very complex system but to break it down into understandable terms you are betting on both teams to win. If one team wins you make money if the other team wins you make even more money. The software can be expensive but well worth it.

These are just a few of the many different ways you can work at home and start to make money online. Doing a little research and receiving some good honest training will increase your chances to earn big money online.

Legitimate Jobs: Quit Your Day Job

By Isobelle Richardson

Working at home is much easier with all of todays technologies, and the opportunities are endless. A college degree isn't a necessity in today's online "make money" world. To start making money online, only takes little in start up costs and a little determination.

Many people working from home enjoy a life that runs at their own pace, without the stresses of day to day ie. traffic, time-consuming 9 - 5 jobs, bills (because they've obviously quit there day jobs and make enough money to live their dreams).

So even though you may be looking for that perfect online job/employment, it always pays to have a little skepticism, not all "make money sites" a legit, make sure you do your research before you hand over your credit card number.

Right now, there are alot of work-at-home opportunities that are totally fraudulent. They're recruiting unknowing consumers world wide to ship stolen money or goods out of the country."

There are alot of people recruiting naive job seekers, who have no intention of providing these people with Legitimate online employment, but to use them in one scam or another.

For example, A women types into her computer "online job" and up comes a company name and contact. The contact says the job would be to cash money orders and cashiers checks sent to her from customers and then to wire the contact the money. When the checks start coming in, and the women wires the money to her contact, she realises that these customers who have sent her their money have not recieved the item that they had purchased. Of course, the women is left to deal with a lot of angry customers (there never was any item/product in the first place) and her contact is no where to be found.

If someone sees positions involving reshipping goods or cashing checks for overseas companies or individuals, definitely pass them up. If you're buying online, never send cashier's checks or money orders. Use PayPal or your credit card for protection. Don't wrongly assume there is a screening process when a site promotes job opportunities. Never give personal financial information to a prospective employer, even if it's suggested that it's for a background check. It all comes down to buyer beware, but always make sure there is a money back guarantee. Go to LegitOnlineJobs for 100% Legitimate Jobs

The Basics of Paid Online Surveys – Answers to the Most Frequent Questions

By Diana Cristo

People have frequently approached me with requests to advise them on taking paid online surveys. Whether paid surveys are profitable, or if paid survey companies are legitimate is oftentimes a matter of trial-and-error experience. However, there are some general guidelines that can enlighten you on the successful path to maximizing the cash and pleasure from taking paid online surveys.

How do I find legitimate paid survey companies?

This is one of the most frequent questions that I have been answering patiently many times and again. What I usually advise is to open your senses, and perceive everything you see on the survey provider website. Is the web design good enough? Does the text copy contain many spelling or grammar errors? Are the cash prizes and bonuses realistic? Overall, does this website look trustworthy? Sometimes it’s very hard to tell the legitimate paid survey site from the scam, but it’s not necessarily impossible. If you have any doubts and concerns, contact the support team of the paid survey site, but first read their privacy policy, and terms and conditions.

Should I dig for paid survey sites one by one, or trust a paid survey database?

Another core question that I’ve frequently answered; It is much better to find an online survey database, rather than spend countless hours searching for individual survey sites, and trying to establish their reputation before joining. Trusted paid survey companies have their internal mechanisms and quality controls to select and advertise only proven and reliable survey sites. They have already done the job of checking the quality and trustworthiness of these survey companies, and, hence, compile and offer only good links to paid survey sites.

Do I pay for subscribing to a paid survey database?

You need NOT pay, if the database is really a good one. Some online survey databases will require a membership fee or charge you subscription, but these offer essentially identical survey sites to the free databases. What is more, the free survey sites will offer you extra rewards and bonuses for completing particular surveys, or subscribing to some survey companies. Free paid-survey sites are your top choice that saves you search time, while granting you additional bonuses.

What do I earn with paid online surveys?

Survey companies mildly differ in the way they distribute the cash rewards and prizes. What is certain is that you need to complete the survey questionnaire or feedback form in order to get credit. While some companies may prefer to distribute product items or gift certificates, most will credit cash to your member’s account. Other companies have a point system, where each completed survey brings you particular bonus points. Most companies will require that you reach a minimum balance threshold to redeem your cash or bonus points. There are many survey companies that will also offer sweepstakes, free merchandise or bonus product items, either to test and keep, or as a prize for completing particular online surveys.

Should I take up paid online surveys?

Well, that’s a value judgment, and you should decide yourself it paid surveys match your expectations and lifestyle. However, I recommend taking online surveys, because it’s a very easy option for earning in your free time. Once you understand that market research companies really need consumer opinions, it’s easy to realize why they pay good money for product feedback. Paid online surveys are a nice addition to your mainstream career that allows you to enjoy some extra whim purchases, more outings, or more voluminous holidays shopping.

Lucrative Home Business Idea

By Colleen O'Connor

Looking for a fun and profitable home based Internet business to make money online? Consider selling used, collectible, and vintage needlework books and patterns over the Internet. I have been an online bookseller for a number of years, specializing in these types of publications. The field is wide open for anyone wanting to earn extra money or start a profitable small business.

Online book selling is a huge business. Many successful Internet booksellers specialize in particular book topics to increase profits and repeat sales. How to books and pattern leaflets are in steady demand by needleworkers. Used and older publications are readily available and inexpensive for dealers to buy. Often there are no just a few similar titles for sale by competing dealers.

This article will teach you how to recognize vintage needlework books and patterns and where to buy them. How to price your publications, where to sell used and old books for maximum profits.

What to Buy

Buying the correct books and patterns to offer for sale will insure your success. Buyers are looking for publications focused on particular needlework techniques or craft items, instead of general instructions.

For instance, a book on making beaded flowers is likely to be in demand. A general how-to bead book is not. Likewise, a pattern booklet on tatting Christmas decorations will probably sell better than a general guide to tatting stitches.

Profitable Topics

Used and antique books on particular subjects are in high demand:

Knitting & Crochet - books and patterns on shawls, stoles, hats, dolls, toys, beaded, embellished, loom knitting

Tatting - most anything related

Quilting – Books and patterns on special or unusual techniques of all kinds or unusual quilted items

Beading – Books and patterns on beaded flowers, trees, Christmas ornaments, rings, bracelets

Sewing – Books and patterns on 1950s, retro (1960s – 70s) fashions and accessories of all kinds, costumes, soft toys and dolls

This is just a small sampling of what’s available to the seller. There are hundreds of focused topics that have been published in vintage needlework books and patterns.

How to Recognize Collectible Books & Patterns

Publications that are 30 years old or more are usually considered to be “vintage”. These often include techniques and projects not available in modern books. How to books can be soft cover or hardback. Often small older soft covers offer the most focused (and profitable!) subject matter.

Pattern leaflets are soft covers usually under 30 pages. These older pattern booklets are popular with needle workers as they usually are packed with vintage pattern designs and ideas.

Where to Buy Used and Antique Needlework Books & Patterns

There are numerous places to buy these publications for resale:

Garage Sales:

A great source. Both books and pattern leaflets are usually priced inexpensively.

Rummage Sales:

Another good source for low priced publications.

Estate Sales:

Fine source for old and vintage books and patterns, though prices are higher.

Second Hand & Thrift Stores:

Local independent stores usually offer the lowest prices. Pattern books and leaflets usually are priced cheaply.

Used Bookstores:

Prices are often too high on hardbacks, but small softcovers and pattern leaflets often are priced inexpensively.

There are other sources where you can find books – auctions, other online dealers etc. You should be able to find as ready supply of publications priced for now more than a dollar or two.

Where to Sell Your Used Books & Patterns:

There are two main places to sell your old books and vintage patterns online:

Internet Book Stores:

Online sites such as Advanced Book Exchange, Alibris, and Amazon offer booksellers a place to have their own store like set-up without many of the responsibilities of small business ownership. Each site gives dealers a place to list and describe and sell each of their publications. Check out these sites to learn about their individual advantages and differences.

Internet Auctions:

Online auctions are plentiful and provide book dealers another place to sell their books and patterns. My favorite is eBay, which offers a continual built-in market for your publications.

Wherever you prefer to buy or sell, old, used, and collectible needlework books and vintage patterns offer a fun niche for a lucrative home Internet business.

How To Become a Mystery Shopper Working From Home

By Shelby Wright

Almost everybody I know loves to go shopping. Just look how busy your local mall or shopping center can get. The trouble is it can become an expensive as well as enjoyable habit. But did you know you can get paid to shop?

Have you heard of mystery shopping? Or secret shopping? Some even speak of undercover shopping. Sounds melodramatic, perhaps?

In fact business is estimated to pay around $600 million a year on around 8 million mystery shopper visits, in the USA alone. It's a big business in most countries. It's an important part of mainstream business.

Mystery shoppers are paid anonymous visitors to shops, who report on their experience from an independent customer service point of view. They are usually completely unknown to the shop and its staff, to preserve their independence and objectivity. They are often part timers employed by specialist mystery shopping provider companies. There are a large number of these providers. They each maintain large pools of mystery shopping staff they can call on to perform mystery shopping assignments.

Does a mystery shopping job sound interesting to you?

The mystery shopper is given a survey form to complete, which includes a selection of information that is important to the shop's managers. These are usually measures of service and product quality that the mystery shopper is asked to observe and report. Each business has its own measures, but common ones typically include time spent waiting in a queue, whether staff greeted you upon entering the store, did you get a receipt, were you thanked and invited back, were the staff wearing name tags, and so forth.
Far from being white coated scientists with clip boards and stop watches, they are expected to look and behave just like typical shoppers. They are often asked to make a purchase. That way their experience will be close to that of the average customer in the shop they visit.

A mystery shopping report usually also includes space for comments and suggestions as to how the shop could improve the experience of its customers. A report that includes valuable information from an observant and thoughtful mystery shopper can be very useful, and is likely to earn that person more future assignments.

A typical shop will commission a mystery shopper visit every month or so, more often when in a service improvement phase, and perhaps less frequently when things are going well. Each business takes its own approach. Some prefer instead to interview real customers directly.

Not only retailers use mystery shoppers. Fast food outlets, restaurants, hotels, movie theaters, theme parks, service stations, financial institutions and many other businesses employ variations of this approach to evaluate their service quality performance.

There are many mystery shopper job opportunities for part time work in this very active industry. It may not always be obvious because of the importance of anonymity, but there are mystery shopping jobs available in most towns and cities. It is an especially attractive source of extra money for mothers with family commitments who work from home. But, to be representative, mystery shoppers are required from all walks of life, men as well as women. A small proportion of mystery shoppers, usually in larger cities, can earn a full time income from the work they get. There are professional certification and annual conference opportunities for those who choose to become very involved as mystery shoppers.

Would you like to be a mystery shopper?

Paid Surveys and SPAM

By Matthew Bredel

Before I get started, I want to point out that I am not the biggest fan of paid survey programs for one reason: they really don't pay enough money, in my opinion. If you are looking for an extra $50-$100 per week, then yes, this is a pretty simple way of doing it. I did this in the past, and I was not satisfied with this amount. That is what lead me into other programs like affiliate marketing and wholesaling. Both of these require a much larger initial commitment and a bit of persistence to be successful, but if you can get to the top of the mountain, the stroll down the hill is rather nice and profitable.

But this is not about affiliate marketing or wholesaling. Paid surveys do work! If you want to spend the time to fill out surveys or mystery shop or read emails, you will get paid for it. But be prepared! The way paid surveys works is that you must sign up on a lot of sites to get the 5-10 surveys per week. Signing up on a lot of websites means one thing: You are exposing yourself to a lot of sites, some of which don't have great intentions! If you plan on doing this, protect yourself! Here are a few suggestions:

1) Use a new email address (like a hotmail or gmail account) to conduct all of your paid survey business on. Some of these sites WILL sell your email address or use it to try to sell you stuff (as spam). Mixing this with your personal email is a mistake!

2) You should still use your real name and address, since they may be sending checks or confirming a PayPal account.

3) You should not need to supply your social security number. You will not be making enough money. If they require it, look into the site a bit more and make sure it is legitimate (if it is something like "Yahoo", it is probably pretty safe...if it is something like "PaidSurveyBonanza", I would be a be skeptical!)

4) Only give your phone number if you are planning on taking part in phone surveys or focus panels.

5) Create usernames and passwords that will be specific to this paid survey venture.

Unfortunately with systems like paid surveys, you are required to expose yourself a bit. Be conscious of what information you are giving them. If you protect yourself with the data you give out, the worst that can happen is a bit of annoying spam organized in a way that will not interfere with your normal life.

Profitable Affiliate Marketing Using Incentive Offers

By Gerardas Norkus

The biggest companies want to sell their products and services on the Internet. One of the best ways to market their products and services online is by offering a commission to website owners. This is done by setting up an affiliate program where webmasters can pick up the links to offers and promote them on their web sites in exchange for affiliate commissions for each sale made.

Webmasters have many ways to promote these affiliate offers - on websites, by email, with pay-per-click search engines, writing and distributing articles, etc.

However, a little-known way to promote these offers is by using incentives to online surfers who agree to buy a product or service from the webmaster.

One of the best ways to market incentive offers is by building a membership-based website and giving free cash to members who agree to accept affiliate products and services.

Here are the steps for setting up a successful incentive-based website:

1. You'll have to build a database-driven website where new members can sign up and start browsing offers after logging in. Such websites usually promote at least a hundred of various offers. You should offer your members about 50% of the commission that you recieve from an affiliate program.

One of the biggest disadvantages in starting an incentive-based website is that the scripts for running such program are quite complicated. However, if you don't know Internet programming and cannot build the website by yourself, you can hire someone to create the scripts for you or purchase them online.

2. After your website is up and running, you should apply for affiliate networks that allow incentive traffic. When your application is approved you should set up offers on your website.

3. You should market the incentive offers not only on your website but by email too. Sending paid email to your members is one of the best ways to increase your profit. You should reward your members with a certain amount of cash for reading each paid email and redirect them to affiliate offers where they can earn even more extra cash by accepting the offers.

4. Since the incentive traffic is usually limited to certain countries, you should promote your website to the visitors of these countries only. The best ways to drive targeted traffic to your incentive-based website are: pay-per-click search engines, email marketing and affiliate marketing (by setting up your own affiliate program).

5. You should manage your website by setting up new offers, paying members their earned payments, suspending fraudulent accounts and tracking your website advertising campaigns.

Some incentive-based websites offer a point system. It means that members earn points instead of cash. Later these points can be redeemed for cash or any other items.

Incentive marketing on the Internet can be very profitable. Anyone can start an excellent home-business online within several weeks and run it spending only a couple of hours per day. It doesn't require any complicated and time-consuming content writing for websites and newsletters. The investment in scripts is low.

What To Look For With Online Surveys

By Roy London

For some years online surveys have been another way to make some cash in your spare time from home or where ever is suitable. This could be a nice second income, especially if you have the spare time. You could be recovering or laid off, a student with lots of time on your hand or a stay at home mom. There are many companies out there that claim to offer this service but they are a few things to look for:

a) Look for a company that does not charge a lot of money to sign up, most of these companies that charge a lot just want your money. The ones that charge a little are just recovering their administrative and maintenance cost.

b) If the company offers 100% Guarantee refund on your registration fee it means they are confident and standing behind their product. In this case you have nothing to lose.

c) The site should be simple if it's too complicated it will confuse you and you'll waste time, you're there to make money not lose money, time is money.
These are a few simple guide lines for you. Good luck.

I would recommend you try Survey Estate their price is good and the website is simple. They also offer 100% Guarantee refund. There are a few important things to take into consideration after you sign up that will help you greatly.

1. I would recommend you open a separate email account that you will use when you sign up with the survey companies. You will be filling out a lot of online forms and you will be receiving a lot of emails in return. A yahoo or Hotmail account easily let you block any unwanted emails.

2. Make sure you have a recent version of your web browser, such as Internet Explorer version 5.0 or better. You don't want your browser crashing when you are logged in and participating in a survey or focus group.

3. Be sure to keep a good record of all market research sites you've signed up with, so you will have your username and password for each of them easily accessible. You could try using the same User ID and Password for all of them to make things easier for yourself.

4. To make sure you get selected for a lot of surveys and focus groups, be sure to correctly fill out the initial profile for each market research group you sign up with. Your initial profile will determine what type of surveys or focus groups you will be eligible for. Don't limit your demographics. For example, be sure to select several hobbies, interests, etc. However, don't check all of them or it may look like an error or suspicious.

5. Don't expect too many surveys right after you join. You will get some initially. Try to be patient and complete every survey you receive, even if it doesn't pay cash, these companies need to gain confidence in you, and as time goes by, they will notice that you are committed to their surveys and will send you more and more.

6. Please visit their websites and register to the ones you prefer. You will be selected based on your registration profile; if you don't register to any of them you will not receive any surveys at all.

7. Keep in mind that companies that only offer drawing or sweepstakes often change their offerings from month to month. A company might offer a drawing one month, then offer a $100 paid survey the next month. It all depends on the kind of research and surveys their clients need. It is worth it to take the time to register with these companies, you never know what they'll offer next and it can make a big difference in your gains.

Think about it for a moment, you've already made up your mind or have an opinion about lots of products that you use in your everyday life. Maybe you love the type of shaving cream that you use. Or you really hate the new TV shows for the season. Perhaps you think that new soda in the market is way too sweet. You might recommend a friend should watch a certain movie or TV series. On the other hand, you can't stop recommending a great new wine that you tried at dinner.

In a typical day it's easy to identify dozens and dozens of opinions and preferences you hold. Well, you might as well get paid for them. Do you agree? You can and you should. Here is some news for you; Corporate America is dying to know what you think about their products. Why? Because if they make a mistake and offer a product or a service that people don't like, don't want, or won't pay money for, they stand to lose millions of dollars.

Therefore what do they do? They spend money upfront to test their products first. They get regular folks like you and me to sit in a room or fill out a survey and ask you questions about their new product. This is called a Focus Group. Based on the answers from the Focus Group, they will either, keep the product as it is, make some changes, or scrap the whole thing.

Corporations spend millions of dollars every year to find out what people like and dislike about thousands of products. Example: movies, soft drinks, toys, perfumes, cars, you name it. If you see any product in a retail store, chances are the company that makes it has tested it out with a Survey or Focus Group before mass producing it. So if you're up to participating in online surveys you should consider trying survey estate.

Roy London has been researching and continues to research companies that offer services online. For the last ten years he has also been involved in youth development at his local Church and in the community. And works for a web base company http://www.surveyestate.com

Starting Your Business Right: What You Must Do Before You Sell Anything

By John Gottshall

This is a corner that many people cut. Not only will it keep Uncle Sam happy, if you don't do this it will actually contribute to you not succeeding online. If you don't go to the very small inconvenience to get a business license how are you going to believe in your head and heart that you're going to operate a successfully online.

Just do it and get it over with. The easiest way to find out what you need to do is by searching online. At the very least you'll probably need to get a business license with your city. They'll probably also require you to have a fictitious name or DBA (Doing Business As).

For instance say you want to name your business "Joe's Artifacts" and your name is Joe Schmo then your legal business name would be Joe Schmo DBA Joes Artifacts. I'm not going to make any recommendations on weather you should incorporate or not. Talk to a professional accountant about that.

If you're going to be selling a physical product (batteries, XBOX units or whatever) then your state will probably require you to get a State Tax ID Number also commonly referred to as a State Reseller Certificate.

Also, don't even think about talking to a wholesaler if you don't have a Reseller Certificate. Real wholesalers will require you to have this. It's how they know that you're a real business. If a wholesaler doesn't ask for a copy of it or at least a copy of your business license then they're probably not a real wholesaler.

The first thing I would do to find out what I need to get is go to Google. If I lived in Pittsburgh, PA I would type in "Business License Pittsburgh, PA". Then to find out about the Reseller Certificate I would type in the same thing except replace "Business License" with "Reseller Certificate".

Also, you're going to want to get a business checking account. There are many banks that have totally free business checking. Almost all merchant account providers will require you to have a business checking account. Just do it, it will help with organization anyway. Also your bank will probably want to see a copy of your business license to set up a business account.

Let me say one more time, please don't cut corners and not do this stuff or tell yourself you'll do it later. Start off on the right foot and you'll set a precedent for yourself that will help you in the future. Start off on the wrong foot by not doing this and you'll set a precedent for yourself that will hinder you in the future.

Telecommuting Job Idea: Resume Writer

By Nell Taliercio

If you are a creative, but concise writer, then being a resume writer could be the perfect job for you. Many people have a good deal of job experience, but don’t know the best way to present it to a potential employer. With just the right polish and editing, their resume could put them at the top of the pile. While there are programs out there that can “help” write a resume, nothing beats the human touch. If you add helping with cover letters, you could have a business going in no time.

Where to find a job as a resume writer: You could hang signs on college campuses. Students who are facing graduation and job hunting are always worried about writing a good resume. There are websites that offer resume services, so you could contact them and see if they hire freelance writers.

Skills you need: You should be able to convey the crucial information in a way that highlights the job seeker’s strengths. You should be able to creatively represent the information without embellishing in a way that misrepresents the skills.

You need to be able to write the different styles of resumes: Reverse Chronological, Functional, or a Combination. You also need to be aware of the current trend of people writing a CV (Curriculum Vitae), rather than a standard resume. A CV tends to focus on education, writing, and research experience for academic fields.

Tools you need: A reliable computer, internet connection and basic word processor program are all you really need. Although, if you are doing work for local customers, you may need a printer as well.

How much money can you make? Some resume services charge around $250 for a resume, CV and cover letter package.

Telecommuting Job Idea: Virtual Assistant

By: Nell Taliercio

One of the newest jobs available today is a virtual assistant. With so many jobs being completed through the internet, having virtual office staff only makes sense. It helps companies keep down overhead, and allows more workers the flexibility to telecommute. While there are training programs to teach you how to become a virtual assistant, many people already possess the skills needed. You simply need to learn to market yourself, showing the potential employer you’re the perfect person for the job.

Where to find a job as a virtual assistant: There are virtual assistant associations found on the internet that could assist in your training and job search. Some people who run home offices advertise for a virtual assistant, to help them stay organized without having to have an outside person come to their home. The VA will help them stay current by answering e-mails, reminding them of appointments, and other office administrative duties. Some VA assistant jobs may require occasional office visits, so you would need to live within driving distance of the office.

Skills you need: You should have good people skills, knowing how to communicate well both over the phone and through written correspondence. Being organized is a must, as that is the main reason most people need a virtual assistant: to help them stay organized. Good typing skills are also crucial.

Tools you need: You will need a reliable computer, with word processing database, spreadsheet, calendar programs and internet connection (high speed is best). You may also want to have an unlimited long distance phone plan, as you may be calling clients or setting up appointments for your employer all over the country, possibly even the world. A hands-free phone might also be a good investment. A fax machine is a good idea, as well as a printer and scanner (many units combine all three features in one machine).

How much money can you make? If you find a full-time position, as opposed to freelancing for a few clients, the income will vary. Some companies pay VA’s anywhere from $20-$50 an hour.

Wanna Work From Home? Join The Pips Revolution

By HomeBusiness Networks

So you want to make some money by doing nothing more than
sitting back
in your computer chair? Don't we all. The thing is, though,
that it's possible--all you have to do is navigate your way
through all the crap that is out there. More and more people
are becoming internet entreprenuers each day. Recent surveys
show that by the end of 2005, 50% of all households with an
internet connection will somehow be involved with making money
from the
internet.

So how do you do it? I'm sure you have already done a Google
search for
something like "home business" or "make money at home". And
I'm sure
that searched returned somewhere in the neighborhood of 50
million websites
that either claim you can take surveys and earn money, stuff
envelopes and earn money or be a "secret shopper".

All crap. There's no such thing as taking surveys to earn
money. What all the hype for survey taking neglects to tell
you is that you are entered into a CONTEST to win some money.
More fequently, these "survey programs" award you points
towards cheesey rewards (100,000 points for a free cereal
coupon, etc.). This isn't my idea of working from home.

Stuffing envelopes has always been one of those mythological
internet jobs. Maybe you've heard the stories too: you send
some cash away to some PO Box in the middle of nowhere, they
send you a box full of flyers that you stuff into envelopes and
you get $5 for every one you mail. So let's figure, an average
person can stuff and stick the adress label on--let's say--2
envelopes a minute. That's $10 a minute, or $600 an hour. Not
too shabby. Work an 8 hour day and we're looking at a little
under five grand a day, 30 grand a week, 1.5 million dollars a
year. Too bad it's all crap too. What these companies
conviently neglect to tell you is that you only get paid that
$5 for each envelope that is mailed, and that generates a SALE
by the recipient. Typically, that's less 1% of all mailed
packages, and keep in mind YOU have to pay for ALL postage.
You'll be in debt before you would ever be in profit. Crap,
crap, crap and more crap here.

So where does the crap end and true Internet money-making
begin? Affiliates programs. PIPS, for one. PIPS is short for
Plug-In Profit System, a spider-web like matrix of users who
make a small $50 investment (for aquiring a domain name) that
becomes part of a massive network that is affiliated with
multi-million dollar marketing services conglomerates.
Essentially, PIPS sites sell dozens of products, and the owner
of a PIPS site will make a commission. PIPS sites also earn
huge commissions by setting up other PIPS sites and creating a
huge downline. Money is always possible with a PIPS site, and
your job is clear: it's not stuffing envelopes or taking
pointless surveys, it's advertising your ass off--getting your
site out there. Once that's done, sit back, relax, and check
your mailbox once a month for some handsome checks.

Can You Deduct Your Home Office As An Expense?

By Michael Russell

Having a desk in your family room and calling it your office doesn't qualify as a legitimate home office. Learn what does qualify so you can get the most out of your expenses.

The number one rule to qualify as a home office is that it must be a separate room, used only as your office. Your kids can't come in and do their homework or any other activity. It's your office - plain and simple.

Now for tax purpose you'll need to know the total square footage of your house or apartment. (Yes, renters can deduct their office too as long as it is a separate room). Now measure the length and width of your office, multiply them to get the square footage of your office. Keep a record of this in your "Year End" file. This file is for all the papers you'll need to take to your accountant during tax time.

If you rent your house or apartment, you'll be able to deduct part of your rent and utilities. If you want to deduct phone costs, you'll need to have a separate business line put into your office. List the monthly phone costs as well as the installation cost under your "Phone" column on your expense spreadsheet.

The amount you can deduct for rent and utilities is the same percentage as the size of your office is to the size of your house or apartment. Let's say the apartment is 1,000 square feet and your office is 10 ft x 10 ft or 100 square feet. That means your office takes up 10% of your total living space.

At the end of the year, you'll be able to deduct 10% of your rent and utility expenses on your taxes.

Keep a copy of your utility bills each month. On each statement, figure what portion of the bill that belongs to the business. Note that amount on the bill and write it down on your spreadsheet under utilities. Let's say your electric bill was $85.00. Note that $8.50 of this bill is a business expense. Pay the bill in full with your personal checking account. And that's it for your monthly expenses.

If you own your own home and you have a room built for your office, you need to keep records of those expenses. Let's say you have a basement and you had walls added to create a separate office. Keep all the receipts (materials and labor) in a separate folder as part of your "Year End" records. These expenses are deducted over a period of time (usually 3-6 years). These are not recorded on your monthly spreadsheet.

So there you have the basics - the size of the office determines the amount of allowable expenses on your taxes, have a separate phone line and save all your receipts.

The great thing of course is that the advertising is free, and so any results you get are "value" because you have not had to pay for it

Tracking Is Essential

However free classified advertising can be a mine-field to the unwary

Remember: there is no shortage of website on the internet that are quite happy for you to "buy" their advertising product, even though they know themselves that their advertising product is pretty close to worthless!

Therefore make this your golden rule:
>>= Always Track Your Advertising =<<

What Is Tracking?

If you are unsure what tracking really means, this introduction will help When you are advertising on the internet, you really need to find out who is clicking your ads, where they saw your ad, did it convert into a sale, and what was their referring URL

To "track" your advertising its usual to have a redirect URL of some some kind, which records the data that we are interested in e.g. was there a click and if so on which site did the click come from, what was the operating system of the user that clicked and what was the referring URL etc. You can often set up the same redirect URL for the same target URL you are advertising, but use a different code at the end of the re-direct URL to signify the site you are advertising on e.g. my redirect could be www.somedomain.com/cgi-bin/track.php?r=1000 - here the "r=1000" is the code for the particular classified site I am using

Lets go through the elements of tracking in a bit more detail

1) Who is clicking on your ad?
We don't want to know exactly who! but we do want to know if anyone clicked on our ad. Its just too easy for someone to let us advertise on their website, with the assumption that our ad will be clicked, when all the time they know that its very unlikely that any of the ads will be clicked by anyone If you are going to make any assumption about your advertising, then always assume that no one clicked on your ad unless you have evidence to prove otherwise

2) Where was the ad that was clicked?
Its all very well knowing that my ad was clicked - but I need to know which ad and on which site. If I post 3 different classified ad to 10 different sites, then its no good knowing just that "one" of them was clicked. I need to know which one and on which site

Proper tracking will give me this information. Usually I just log into the admin or members area of the tracking service I am using, and there will be a listing of all the redirect URL's I have used and the clicks that are recorded for each one

Now of course you have to get organized so that you know which tracking code you are going to use for each site and for each ad. there is nothing worse than not keeping a record and then not knowing which site gave you the click when you find out that the "r=4571" has recorded a click!

So it is essential to keep good records of what you are doing for the ads you are posting. After a while of course you will find out which sites are giving you clicks, and therefore you can rely on these sites since you have tested them and they are obviously working

3) What Was The Referring URL

The referring URL is simply the webpage the person visited, immediately before the page where they saw your ad. With a classified Ad site this will probably be a directory or category index page

This aspect of tracking has become very important more recently as the search engines regularly spider good free classified sites. This is because when lots of new ads are posted every day, from the search engines point of view, this equals new fresh content. Search Engines will always give a site a higher ranking that is adding new fresh original content regularly.

However this produces a major downside for anyone posting ads to classified sites - because not only will the search engine spiders visit the sites - they will also click the links!

This will mean out tracking software will record "apparent" clicks - but they are clicks at all, since it was a script from the search engines that clicked on our ads and not a real person reading our ads

Once again this underlines why advertising online can be a minefield for the unwary. To spot these "phantom clicks" you need to look carefully on the referring URL

Search Engine spiders generally use some kind of "bot" which will be included in the information about the operating system of the user. If you see "bot" anywhere in the information from your tracking system, then this means the person that clicked was a search engine and not a real person. Therefore such clicks should not be regarded as real clicks by anyone. I know of quite a number of classified ads sites which get clicks from search engine bots but not from real people!!

4) Did The Click Convert To A Sale Or Lead

This is much more difficult to track, and certainly most tracking software will not provide this information Extra code is required to be placed into your website in order to provide this information - PHP is the easiest vehicle for this information, though it can also be done via CGI. However a discussion of these modifications to your website is several article all by itself. However suffice it to say for now, that this kind of tracking information can be provided relatively easily. Some pay per click organisations also provide code which can tell you when ads resulted in a sale e.g. Google Adwords

Conclusion

Free Classified Advertising really can work, but you do need to track your "clicks" to make sure you only concentrate on those sites which actually give you real people clicking on your adverts

Typing Jobs at Home

By Charles Fuchs

You have seen the ads, “Typing jobs at home! Make money FAST! No experience necessary. No selling.” These ads are tempting, because they appeal to someone who wants to work from home. While there are a lot of legitimate work from home jobs that involve typing, many of these advertisements are misleading schemes. So where can you find legitimate typing jobs?

First, it is important to note why many of these advertisements for typing jobs at home are scams. Basically they tend to be “ad typist” jobs where you type in ads on a variety of job sites waiting for people to sign up for the program. The companies you “work” for function as an affiliate program in which you get paid if people sign up for the program.

Often people who do pay the fee to work for the company end up posting ads everywhere only to see little results. They are given no marketing training, and they are often denied for a refund. These companies usually post “testimonials” of people who have made much more money that you will ever see. Actually, you will probably end up losing money in the massive amount of hours you spend trying to post ads all over the internet.

Another scam is the promise of finding you a job with a legitimate company. Yet when you pay your fee for typing jobs at home, you will only receive a list of companies that “may” be hiring home typists. You end up spending time calling and following up with companies that probably do not need your services. Again, you lose out on money and time.

However, for all the scams out there, you can still find legitimate typing jobs at home. Most of the legitimate jobs are not ad typing, but more administrative or data entry jobs. There are job sites that specialize in postings for these legitimate jobs, and you will need to have some experience to qualify for the jobs. Job boards like WAHM.com, E-lance, and MediaBistro.com all have legitimate jobs that the websites have investigated to make sure they are legitimate. They also have customer service procedures if you find a scam on their sites.

So how do you tell the difference between a legitimate company and a scam? First, you should not have to pay high fees to find typing jobs at home (the exception is E-lance, which requires a small fee to find jobs). Some of these scams require upwards of $60 for “typing jobs at home.”

Also, you need to protect yourself by doing research into any company offering typing jobs at home. Look at the Better Business Bureau and on the internet to find out if there are any complaints about the company. Use your instinct. If you feel like you might be scammed, you should probably avoid the offer completely.

5 Easy Ways To Make Money Online Selling A Niche Product

By Izrul Fizal

Many people are making lots and lots of money online just by selling a niche product. Not only that, some don’t even have a slight clue or idea about the niche but still make money online easily. You see, when you are planning to concentrate selling a niche product, it is not necessarily you need to know your product although it will be an advantage if you do.

But still they are who still have not making any money online at all because they have done it the wrong way from the beginning. They simply jump into the bandwagon because they thought making money online is easy. The truth is, it is easy if you start with a proper way.

So how to make money online with a niche product? Here are 5 excellent and easy ways to do it:

1. Use Overture’s Inventory tool to determine how many people are actually searching for keywords in your niche in each given month. If you multiply that number by 8, you will get the rough amount of Google traffic for that same keyword. If you don't already have an established site in that niche, you will definitely want to avoid it if the search numbers are too low. Let me stress out that keywords will be your major factor in making money online business. Choose the wrong one, and you are destined to fail fast.

2. Create a niche product that automates a labor-intensive task. Making money online is all about automation. For instance, submitting articles to directories is a labor-intensive task. This is why many article submitters have sold extremely well. Creating software is almost the best way go to go about this task, but information products will sometimes work, too. If you cannot create one, find anybody who offers an affiliate program for this sort of product.

3. This method is for those who already have a list. Use your list to create a niche product for you. For instance, you could create a contest that offers $100 to the person who can write the most interesting story or idea about something related to your niche. You can then compile all of these stories and sell the book to your list. Of course, you will want to announce and congratulate the winner on your site. This is one good way to make money online by creating a niche product using ideas from your list.

4. Consider creating a niche service, rather than a niche product. Find one specific input that all business owners in a given niche require. Develop a consistent, reliable, high-quality, and reasonably-priced service for that specific input. Contact webmasters in that niche and alert them to your new service. Many business owners really appreciate a service that can make them more money online.

5. Before moving into a niche and concentrating resources to work on it, you will want to consider launching a smaller niche product first to test the market. Some niche forums, for instance, will allow business owners to sell products. You may want to see how the response is to your product before you then attempt to penetrate your niche further with a more expensive product. If you find out the response is good, you know that it is a good niche market.

And there you have it, 5 easy ways to make money online selling a niche product. I can guarantee that you will achieve the sweetness of success just by using one of these steps.
